Snarky, neon-soaked electropop that pairs danceable synth hooks with sharp-witted commentary on internet culture. Perfect for late nights and cynical celebrations.
The Limousines occupy that rare space where the party music actually has something to say. Their sound is a polished, high-definition blend of shimmering synthesizers, driving drum machine patterns, and indie-rock sensibilities. It feels like the early 2010s blog-house era refined into something more permanent, trading mindless hedonism for a clever, often biting look at how we live our lives online and off.
What truly sets them apart is the interplay between Giovanni Giusti's sleek, melodic production and Eric Victorino's vocal delivery. Victorino often employs a deadpan, almost conversational style that makes his satirical lyrics about social media, vanity, and modern isolation hit harder. It is music that makes you want to dance while simultaneously making you feel a little bit guilty about why you are dancing in the first place.
Start with their debut album, Get Sharp. It contains their most iconic singles like Very Busy People and Internet Killed the Video Star, which perfectly encapsulate their ability to turn cultural critique into infectious, hook-heavy pop. If you want something a bit more atmospheric and introspective, their follow-up, Hush, shows a more mature, darker side of their electronic palette.
The Limousines are an American electronica band based out of California's San Francisco Bay Area. Made up of multi-instrumentalist/producer Giovanni Giusti and songwriter/vocalist Eric Victorino, the duo formed in 2007 and has since gained international fame, thanks in part to the release of their singles "Very Busy People" and "Internet Killed the Video Star". Their first full-length album, Get Sharp, was released July 27, 2010 to critical acclaim. On December 13, 2010, the band officially signed with Dangerbird Records, but have since left the label and independently recorded and produced their second album, Hush, which was released on June 4, 2013.
