The Rockyts

The Rockyts emerged from Canada as a teenage trio in 2019, initially gaining traction for their remarkably faithful recreation of the early 1960s British Invasion sound. Led by multi-instrumentalist Jeremy, the project’s debut 'Come Out And Dance' (2020) serves as a stylistic homage to the Merseybeat era, specifically the 1962-1964 output of The Beatles and The Searchers.

The sound identity is defined by clean Rickenbacker-style guitar jangle, prominent vocal harmonies, and straightforward, upbeat rhythmic structures. Following the departure of original members Keith and Camden in 2022, the project transitioned into a solo vehicle for Jeremy. This shift coincided with a gradual expansion of the sonic palette; while the 1960s foundation remains, later singles like 'I Get High' and 'Falling Again' incorporate 1990s alternative influences and more complex production layers. Critically, they are viewed as part of a modern power-pop lineage that prioritizes melody and classicism over avant-garde experimentation. Their cultural position is that of a 'bridge' artist, appealing to older listeners through nostalgia and younger fans through the high-energy, garage-rock revivalism seen in the modern indie scene.
