Tijuana Panthers

Tijuana Panthers are a Long Beach, California trio consisting of Daniel Michicoff, Chad Wachtel, and Phil Shaheen. Formed in 2009, the band emerged from a shared background in the Southern California skate and surf scenes, which deeply informs their aesthetic.

Their sound is a sophisticated blend of traditional surf rock, garage punk, and power pop, characterized by Wachtel's reverb-heavy guitar work and the group's signature three-part vocal harmonies. Historically, they sit within the 'Burger Records' era of California garage rock but maintain a more disciplined, melodic focus than many of their 'slacker' contemporaries.
