Hyper-energetic indie pop driven by tap-dancing percussion and communal boy-girl harmonies. It is the sound of a messy, joyful basement party in the mid-2000s.
Formed in Omaha, Nebraska in 2001, Tilly and the Wall is an American indie pop group signed to Team Love Records. The band, which includes member Kianna Alarid, is best known for its unique rhythmic foundation. Rather than utilizing a traditional drummer, the ensemble features Jamie Pressnall, who serves as the group's percussionist through tap dancing. Their name is derived from Leo Lionni's children's book, Tillie and the Wall.
