Trails and Ways

Trails and Ways emerged from the Oakland, CA DIY scene in the early 2010s, founded by UC Berkeley graduates who brought international influences back to the East Bay. Their sound identity is a unique intersection of Brazilian bossa nova, Spanish folk, and American indie pop, characterized by 'bossa-pop' rhythms and shimmering guitar work.

The band's early career was defined by a communal, bedroom-pop ethos, recording in co-op houses and self-producing much of their work.
