Tropical Fuck Storm

Tropical Fuck Storm (TFS) emerged in 2017 as a supergroup of the Australian underground, primarily led by Gareth Liddiard and Fiona Kitschin of the legendary blues-punk outfit The Drones. Joined by Lauren Hammel and Erica Dunn, the band shifted the scorched-earth emotionality of Liddiard's previous work into a more rhythmic, experimental, and sonically adventurous territory.

Their sound is defined by 'skronk' - a deliberate use of dissonant, jagged guitar textures - and a rhythm section that leans into funk and dub influences without ever losing its punk aggression. Critically, they are viewed as one of the most vital acts in modern noise rock, praised for their ability to document 21st-century anxiety through surrealist, often apocalyptic lyrics.
