キタニタツヤ

Aggressive bass grooves meet existentialist pop. High-energy, neon-lit tracks that feel like a frantic late-night sprint through a digital metropolis.

Intro

Tatsuya Kitani creates music that feels like the pulse of a modern city: fast, intricate, and slightly anxious. His sound is anchored by his virtuoso bass playing, which often takes the melodic lead, driving songs forward with a funk-influenced aggression that sets him apart from standard J-pop. There is a distinct digital sheen to his work, a remnant of his Vocaloid roots, but it is grounded by raw, human vocal performances that range from delicate whispers to powerful, desperate belts.

What makes Kitani distinctive is the intellectual weight he carries into high-energy bangers. His lyrics often grapple with themes of duality, unreality, and the friction of modern existence, all while maintaining a danceable, infectious groove. The production is dense and meticulous, featuring sharp guitar stabs and complex rhythmic layers that reward deep listening while remaining immediately accessible to a casual fan.

Start with the album BIPOLAR to hear the full spectrum of his capabilities. It perfectly captures his ability to pivot between chaotic, heavy rock energy and shimmering, sophisticated pop melodies. It is the definitive entry point for anyone looking to understand how he bridges the gap between the internet-music subculture and mainstream chart success.
