High-octane Swedish house with aggressive Melbourne bounce rhythms and party-ready chants. Pure adrenaline for gym sessions, festivals, and late-night celebrations.
Vigiland is the sound of a peak-summer music festival compressed into three-minute bursts of energy. Their music is defined by a relentless, driving pulse that draws heavily from the Melbourne Bounce subgenre, characterized by its offbeat basslines and sharp, staccato lead synths. It is unapologetically loud, bright, and designed for maximum impact on a dance floor or through a high-end car stereo.
What sets them apart is their ability to blend the grit of trap-influenced rhythms with the polished, melodic sensibilities of Swedish pop-dance. There is a distinct 'frat-party' charisma to their tracks, often featuring group-shouted vocals and lyrics centered on hedonism, nightlife, and social competition. The production is hyper-compressed, ensuring that every kick drum feels like a physical punch, while the high-end frequencies shimmer with a digital, neon-lit clarity.
For those new to the duo, 'Shots & Squats' is the essential starting point, perfectly capturing their signature high-energy bounce. 'Pong Dance' offers a more playful, rhythmic take on their sound, while 'UFO' showcases the sharper, more progressive house roots that first put them on the map. It is music for the moments when subtlety is not required.
Vigiland was a Swedish house duo consisting of Claes Remmered Persson and Otto Pettersson from the Swedish community Västervik, Sweden. Their first single "Bouncer" became popular on Spotify when it was released in late 2013. Upon releasing their Melbourne Bounce-influenced single "UFO", it made the top 10 of Spotify's most played songs. With the release of their single "Shots & Squats", Vigiland achieved number-ones in Scandinavia over summer and autumn 2015. "Shots & Squats" also became popular in Latin America due to Vine and after it was used as the theme for the MTV series SuperShore. In 2016, Vigiland released "Pong Dance", which reached number 2 in Sweden. In October 2024, Vigiland disbanded and moved on as Soda Music. As proved from YouTube comments on Soda's new podcast by the name of "Tech This Out", they technically confirmed that the Vigiland term is now dead. The release "Island" with Raaban and Jonas Wallin is their final single.
