Formed in 2008 in Dún Laoghaire, Ireland, Villagers is the indie folk project of Dublin-based singer-songwriter Conor J. O'Brien. Signed to Domino Recording Company, the band gained significant recognition with their 2010 debut, Becoming a Jackal, which earned Mercury and Choice Music Prize nominations. O'Brien continues to release acclaimed work, including the award-winning album {Awayland}, Darling Arithmetic, and the live compilation Where Have You Been All My Life?, showcasing his distinctive arrangements and lyrical depth.
