Ethereal, soaring vocals floating over heavy, syncopated grooves. Progressive metal that feels like a cinematic journey through deep space and human emotion.
Voices From the Fuselage occupy a unique space in the progressive landscape, where the crushing weight of modern metal meets the delicate clarity of pop-inflected melody. Their sound is defined by a sense of vastness, often feeling more like a film score than a traditional rock record. It is music that breathes, expanding into lush orchestral arrangements before snapping back into tight, polyrhythmic precision.
What truly sets them apart is the vocal presence of Ashe O'Hara. Unlike the aggressive delivery common in the genre, O'Hara provides a shimmering, high-register performance that feels weightless. This contrast between the 'djenty' rhythmic complexity of the guitars and the angelic, layered vocal harmonies creates a tension that is both intellectually stimulating and deeply emotional.
Start with 'Odyssey: The Destroyer of Worlds' to experience their world-building at its peak. It is the perfect entry point for those who love the technicality of TesseracT but crave a more melodic, narrative-driven experience that prioritizes atmosphere over raw aggression.
