Originally conceived as a punk-influenced soundtrack project for a documentary on Prague's underground, the band quickly evolved into a standalone powerhouse. Their early work, particularly 'Tak mi to teda nandey', defined the transition from socialist-era underground punk to the commercial alternative rock boom of the 1990s. The band is noted for its high production values and willingness to experiment with non-traditional rock instruments, a trait most prominent on their second and third albums. Critically, they are viewed as the more 'rebellious' and 'darker' sibling to Lucie, maintaining a harder edge even as they achieved massive chart success. Their influence on Czech rock is immense, bridging the gap between the raw energy of Kabát and the more art-pop leanings of Lucie.
