Waxwing is a seminal Pacific Northwest indie rock band formed in Seattle in 1996. The group is a family affair, featuring singer-songwriter Rocky Votolato and his brother Cody Votolato, who later gained fame in The Blood Brothers.
Their sound is a sophisticated blend of the region's melodic indie rock tradition and the more aggressive textures of post-hardcore and heavy metal.
