Intro

This is the sound of the 2010s Warped Tour era distilled into its most polished, infectious form. It is characterized by a relentless forward momentum, driven by crunchy power chords and a rhythm section that feels like it's constantly leaning into the next hook. The production is pristine, favoring a 'neon' aesthetic that balances the grit of alternative rock with the undeniable sheen of Top 40 pop.

What truly separates this music from the pack is the vocal chemistry between Taylor Jardine and Jordan Eckes. Rather than simple backing harmonies, they engage in a sophisticated dialogue, trading verses and colliding in massive, multi-tracked choruses. This dual-vocal approach adds a layer of narrative tension and emotional depth to songs that might otherwise feel like straightforward genre exercises.

Start with 'Best Intentions' to hear the band at their most cohesive. It captures that specific moment in time when pop punk was evolving into something more cinematic and melodic, offering a perfect entry point for anyone who misses the golden age of Hopeless Records.

We Are the In Crowd is an American rock band from Poughkeepsie, New York, formed in 2009. It consists of Taylor Jardine, Jordan Eckes, Mike Ferri, Rob Chianelli, and Cameron Hurley. Their second full-length album, Weird Kids, was released in 2014. The band announced a hiatus in February 2016. They have since performed at Slam Dunk Festival 2021, and When We Were Young Festival in 2024.
