Gritty blues-rock anthems with a massive gospel soul heart. Big guitars, bigger vocals, and a stomp-heavy rhythm built for stadium-sized moments.
Welshly Arms sounds like the intersection of a dusty Cleveland garage and a high-ceilinged cathedral. Their music is anchored by heavy, distorted blues riffs that feel grounded in the 1970s, but the production is undeniably modern and cinematic. It is the sound of sweat and grit meeting polished, soaring melodies that are designed to fill large spaces.
What truly sets them apart is their masterful use of soul and gospel elements. While many indie rock bands use a blues foundation, Welshly Arms incorporates rich vocal harmonies and Hammond organ textures that suggest a deep reverence for Motown and Stax records. This combination creates a sense of 'triumphant struggle' - music that feels both hard-earned and celebratory.
Start with the anthem 'Legendary' to hear their signature blend of stomp-clap percussion and soaring choruses. From there, dive into 'Sanctuary' for a more soulful, atmospheric take on their sound, or explore their self-titled debut to hear their rawest blues-rock roots.
