Wild Cub

Wild Cub is an American indie pop outfit formed in Nashville in 2012, led by songwriter and film composer Keegan DeWitt alongside multi-instrumentalist Jeremy Bullock. The band's sound is a sophisticated blend of 1980s new wave aesthetics and contemporary indie-electropop, characterized by tropical guitar lines, dense synth layering, and DeWitt's cinematic lyrical perspective.

Their debut album, 'Youth', became a sleeper hit, propelled by the massive success of the single 'Thunder Clatter', which showcased their ability to merge rhythmic funk influences with anthemic pop structures. DeWitt's parallel career as an award-winning film composer (scoring projects for HBO and Sundance) deeply informs the band's sonic architecture, favoring evocative atmospheres and narrative tension. Critically, they are recognized for elevating the synth-pop genre through superior musicianship and a focus on the 'feeling' of nostalgia rather than just its aesthetic markers.
