This sound is characterized by the integration of hardstyle's aggressive percussion and moombahton's rhythmic swing into a hip-hop framework. Their signing to Diplo's Mad Decent label in 2013 marked their international breakthrough, followed by the establishment of their own influential imprint, Barong Family. Their career arc shows a transition from viral Dutch hits to massive global collaborations with artists like DJ Snake and Ty Dolla Sign. Critically, they are viewed as masters of the 'festival trap' subgenre, known for high-production value and a signature use of high-pitched, piercing synth leads. They remain a dominant force in the electronic circuit, consistently evolving their sound to include elements of techno and house while maintaining their core high-intensity identity.
