Released in 2006 on Isaac Brock's Glacial Pace label, Boneclouds marks a significant sonic expansion for Mason Jennings. After years of self-producing intimate, lo-fi records that earned him a cult following, Jennings collaborated with producer Noah Georgeson to create his most 'hi-fi' work to date. The album retains his trademark percussive acoustic guitar technique but surrounds it with richer arrangements, including contributions from Brock himself.
