Chemically Imbalanced

Released in late 2006, Chemically Imbalanced arrived at the tail end of the crunk explosion that the Ying Yang Twins helped ignite. Following the massive success of Me & My Brother and U.S.A. (United State of Atlanta), this album saw the duo refining their signature sound while also experimenting with slightly more varied production. Working with longtime collaborator Mr. Collipark, as well as producers like Wyclef Jean and Keith Duplessis, the album maintains the high-energy, bass-heavy foundation of their previous work but introduces new textures and influences. The album's title reflects its volatile, high-octane nature, a mix of club anthems and more experimental tracks. Despite the shifting landscape of hip-hop in the late 2000s, Chemically Imbalanced stands as a definitive document of the crunk era, showcasing the duo's unique ability to command a dance floor with their infectious energy and innovative vocal styles.
