Come Clarity

Released in 2006, Come Clarity represents a pivotal 'homecoming' for In Flames. After the polarizing experimentation of Reroute to Remain and Soundtrack to Your Escape, which leaned heavily into synthesizers and alternative rock structures, this album was marketed as a fusion of the band's 'old' and 'new' sounds. It successfully reintroduced the dual-guitar harmonies and faster tempos reminiscent of the Jester Race era while retaining the modern production and hook-driven songwriting of their 21st-century output. Recorded at Dug Out Studios with producer Daniel Bergstrand, the album features a notably aggressive vocal performance from Anders Fridén. It is also distinguished by the track 'Dead End,' featuring Swedish pop singer Lisa Miskovsky, and the haunting, experimental closer 'Your Bedtime Story Is Scaring Everyone.' The album was a commercial and critical juggernaut, winning a Swedish Grammis and being hailed by local press as one of the most important Swedish albums of its decade.
