Disturbia

Released in late 2017, Disturbia serves as a pivotal bridge in Void of Vision's discography, marking their first release under the UNFD label. Produced by the band with assistance from Drew Fulk (known for his work with Motionless in White and Lil Peep), the EP showcases a shift toward a more 'industrialized' metalcore sound. Despite the departure of bassist Matt Thompson shortly after recording, the EP maintains a cohesive, punishing low-end that defines the Australian 'nu-metalcore' movement of the late 2010s. Lyrically, the project is intensely personal, with Bergin explicitly stating the writing was a selfish act of self-preservation and mental health management.
