Extreme Aggression

Extreme Aggression is the fourth studio album by Kreator and marks their transition to a major label (Epic Records). Recorded in Los Angeles with producer Randy Burns, the album represents a significant leap in production quality compared to their earlier 'Teutonic' works like Pleasure to Kill. While the recording process was fraught with internal tension - leading to the abandonment of German sessions and the eventual departure of guitarist Tritze - the result is arguably the most precise and accessible record of their classic era. The album's sound is defined by the interplay between Mille Petrozza and the uncredited Frank 'Blackfire' Gosdzik, whose influence brought a more structured, melodic sensibility to the band's chaotic speed. Critically, it is often cited alongside Coma of Souls as the pinnacle of Kreator's thrash output, praised for its 'tight' musicianship and 'unrelenting' energy.
