Fuzzybrain is the debut studio album by Sloan Struble, performing as Dayglow. Recorded entirely in his childhood bedroom in Aledo, Texas, the album was completed just one day before Struble left for his freshman year at the University of Texas at Austin. This ticking-clock recording context imbues the record with a palpable sense of transition and 'last summer' energy. Sonically, the album is a masterclass in modern DIY production, utilizing vintage synthesizer textures and clean, Nile Rodgers-esque guitar scratches to create a sound that is both retro and fresh. Upon its independent release in 2018, the track 'Can I Call You Tonight?' became a viral sleeper hit, eventually propelling the album to massive streaming success and a subsequent label signing.
