Human Being

Released in 1998, Human Being represents a significant tonal shift for Seal following the massive success of his second self-titled album. Reunited with producer Trevor Horn, the duo leaned heavily into the darker possibilities of electronic production, influenced by the tragic deaths of Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G., which Seal cited as a catalyst for the album's themes of mortality and humanity.
