Kindling

Released in late 2003, Kindling serves as a bridge and a stylistic detour following Architecture in Helsinki's debut album, Fingers Crossed. While the band became synonymous with the 'twee' and maximalist indie pop of the mid-2000s Australian scene, this EP highlights their experimental underpinnings. The release is anchored by the 'Winter version' of Kindling, which reimagines their sound through a minimalist, folk-leaning lens. The inclusion of a remix by Rephlex Records veteran Bogdan Raczynski is particularly notable, signaling the band's alignment with the 'indietronica' movement of the era.
