Mannigfaltig

Released in 2019, Mannigfaltig represents the pinnacle of Dominik Eulberg's career-long obsession with the natural world. The album's title translates to 'manifold' or 'diverse,' a direct reference to the biodiversity crisis. Structurally, the album is a conceptual masterpiece: twelve tracks, each named after a species whose German name contains the number of its track position (Eins, Zwei, Drei, etc.). Sonically, it marks a shift away from the club-centric 'Apfelentkerner' era toward a more expansive, cinematic form of electronica. Eulberg, who is also a professional park ranger and conservationist, utilized sophisticated recording equipment to capture the sounds of the Westerwald, then meticulously processed these samples to serve as the rhythmic and melodic backbone of the compositions. The album received widespread acclaim for its ability to bridge the gap between scientific observation and artistic expression, cementing Eulberg's status as the primary architect of 'organic techno.'
