Message Personnel

Released in June 1999 as a companion EP to her landmark debut solo album Afterglow, Message Personnel showcases Dot Allison's transition from the electronic dance-pop of One Dove into a more intimate, cinematic solo artist. The EP is notable for its curation of collaborators, featuring stark, indie-leaning interpretations by Scottish slow-core pioneers Arab Strap and a sprawling, psychedelic electronic remix by Death in Vegas. These versions contrast beautifully with the lush, polished Album Mix. Crucially, the release is rounded out by 'Tomorrow Never Comes,' a delicate, acoustic-led track that highlights Allison's folk sensibilities.
