Outcast

Released in 1997, Outcast is the eighth studio album by Kreator and marks the peak of their experimental period. Following the industrial-tinged Renewal and the gothic-leaning Cause for Conflict, Outcast fully embraced a mid-tempo, groove-oriented approach that largely abandoned the band's thrash roots. Recorded with producer Vincent Wojno, the album features a very clean, almost clinical production style that highlights the industrial and gothic rock influences. While it was initially met with confusion by purists who missed the 'Pleasure to Kill' era speed, it has since gained a cult following for its unique atmosphere and rhythmic tightness.
