Overcome

Released in 2008, Overcome is the fourth studio album by All That Remains and marked a significant shift in their production approach. Moving away from long-time collaborator Adam Dutkiewicz, the band worked with Jason Suecof in Florida, resulting in a 'biting tone' and a darker, more aggressive sonic profile than its predecessor, The Fall of Ideals. It is the first album to feature drummer Jason Costa, whose intricate double-bass work became a cornerstone of the band's sound. The album is perhaps best known for the crossover success of 'Two Weeks,' which showcased the band's ability to write massive hooks without sacrificing their metal identity. Critically, it solidified their place in the New Wave of American Heavy Metal, proving they could evolve toward a more polished, melodic sound while maintaining the technical shredding and intensity that defined their early career.
