OvO

Released in 2016, OvO is the second studio album by the Pacific Northwest duo Yaima, consisting of multi-instrumentalist Masaru Higasa and vocalist Pepper Proud. The title, derived from the Latin for 'egg' or 'seed,' establishes the album's central conceit: a journey through the seasons from winter to winter. Sonically, the album is a hallmark of the 'folktronic' movement, blending acoustic guitar and chamber-folk arrangements with downtempo electronic beats and deep, resonant didjeridu drones.
