Platypus

Released in 2005, Platypus is the debut full-length effort from Denver-based collective Flobots, serving as the independent foundation for their later commercial breakthrough, Fight with Tools. The album is most notable for featuring the original recording of 'Handlebars,' a track that would later become a global hit. Sonically, the album establishes the band's signature 'chamber-hop' style, characterized by Mackenzie Gault's prominent viola work and the dual-vocal attack of Jamie Laurie (Jonny 5) and Stephen Brackett (Brer Rabbit).
