Released in 2001, Ruído Rosa (Pink Noise) represents a pivotal moment for Pato Fu, marking their sixth studio effort and a deepening of their experimental art-pop identity. Following the massive success of 'Isopor', the band leaned further into the juxtaposition of Fernanda Takai's 'anti-diva' vocal style - characterized by its breathy, intimate delivery - and John Ulhoa's increasingly complex, glitch-influenced production. The album's title reflects its sonic palette: a mixture of soothing melodies and intentional electronic interference. Notable for its inclusion of a cover of Os Mutantes' 'Ando meio desligado', the record pays homage to the psychedelic roots of Brazilian rock while firmly planting its feet in the digital future.
