The Sinister Supremacy

Released in 2013, The Sinister Supremacy marked a pivotal moment for Darkane, arriving five years after Demonic Art and signaling the return of original vocalist Lawrence Mackrory. Mackrory, who performed on the band's 1999 debut Rusted Angel, brings a sense of continuity and renewed aggression to the project. The album's conceptual core revolves around the 'sinister supremacy' - a psychological metaphor for the darker, selfish impulses of the human mind. This theme is visually represented by Carlos Holmberg's Rorschach-inspired cover art. Musically, the album maintains Darkane's signature blend of high-speed thrash and melodic death metal, bolstered by Peter Wildoer's world-class drumming and Christofer Malmström's technical guitar work.
