Transmissions: Vol. 04 is the fourth installment in Celldweller’s experimental series focused on modular synthesis and hardware-based sound design. Released in 2017, it represents a significant shift away from the industrial rock and drum and bass foundations of his primary discography. The album was composed primarily using Eurorack modular systems, including the Moog Mother-32, which is explicitly referenced in the track 'Lifeforms'. This technical focus results in a sound that is more organic and unpredictable than his digital-heavy anthems. Critically, the Transmissions series is viewed as a creative playground where Klayton explores ambient, techno, and IDM influences.
