Adeodat Warfield is the experimental electronic project of Ryan Sublette, a figure primarily known in the skateboarding world who translated his creative kinetic energy into the 'bedroom pop' and 'chillwave' explosion of the early 2010s. The project is a cornerstone of the hypnagogic pop micro-genre, characterized by its heavy use of analog degradation, warped tape effects, and a nostalgic fixation on late 20th-century media aesthetics.

Unlike many of his contemporaries who leaned into high-definition synth-pop, Sublette maintained a strictly lo-fi, DIY ethos that aligned him with artists like Ricky Eat Acid and the early 100% Electronica scene. His work is frequently sample-based but heavily obscured, turning recognizable pop tropes into ghostly, ambient sketches.
