Amine Edge is a pivotal figure in the evolution of the G-House (Gangsta House) subgenre, a style that emerged prominently in the early 2010s. Hailing from Southern France, his career began in the mid-90s, influenced by the New York house legends like Todd Terry and Masters at Work.

Over decades, his sound transitioned from traditional house and progressive house into a signature style characterized by the fusion of 80s funk, 90s hip-hop, and contemporary tech-house. As a founder of the CUFF label alongside his frequent collaborator DANCE, he established a global platform for this specific aesthetic, which prioritizes heavy basslines and rap-influenced vocal treatments. His work is often cited for its 'raw' and 'street' quality, eschewing the polished sheen of mainstream EDM for something more visceral and club-focused.
