Aneurysm is an Italian metal outfit formed in 1994 in Verona, representing a specific evolution of the Mediterranean heavy music scene. Their 2002 debut 'Aware' established them as technical contenders, but it was 2007's 'Shades' that solidified their reputation. This concept album notably featured Hansi Kürsch of Blind Guardian, signaling their acceptance into the upper echelons of European power and progressive metal circles.
