Angelzoom

Angelzoom is the solo project of German vocalist Claudia Uhle, formerly of the synth-pop group X-perience. Launched in 2004 with a self-titled debut on Nuclear Blast, the project represents a significant pivot from her pop roots toward a more atmospheric, darkwave-adjacent sound.

The project is defined by Uhle's formal operatic training and her ability to maintain a high-pitched, ethereal soprano across complex electronic arrangements. Produced largely by Bernd Wendlandt, the sound identity is characterized by a heavy reliance on cellos (notably featuring members of Apocalyptica) and a 'soundtrack' quality that blends gothic sensibilities with new age textures.
