Formed in Kassel in 1988 by Uwe Kanka and Dirk Krause, the duo bridged the gap between the minimalist 'Anhalt' style of early pioneers like Nitzer Ebb and the more expansive, guitar-flecked industrial rock of the 1990s.
Their sound identity is defined by high-BPM sequencers, metallic percussion samples, and Kanka's aggressive, rhythmic vocal delivery. Historically, they were instrumental in the Zoth Ommog label's dominance of the dark electronic scene, helping define the 'Frankfurt Sound' alongside acts like Bigod 20.
