Blacklodge

Founded in 1998 in Grenoble, France, by Saint Vincent, Blacklodge is a cornerstone of the French industrial black metal scene. Emerging from the underground band Faust, the project evolved from a one-man endeavor into a full band that pioneered the integration of harsh electronic textures with traditional black metal aesthetics.

Their sound identity is defined by the use of rigid drum machine programming, digital distortion, and a conceptual framework heavily influenced by Twin Peaks and dark psychedelic mysticism. Throughout the 2000s, particularly with the release of 'Login:SataN' and '>SolarKult<', they established themselves alongside acts like Aborym as leaders of a 'new front' in extreme music.
