Chus & Ceballos

Chus & Ceballos are a foundational duo in the global house scene, credited with pioneering the 'Iberican Sound.' Emerging from Spain in the early 2000s, Jesus Lopez Esteban (DJ Chus) and Pablo Ceballos fused traditional tribal house elements with the emerging tech-house and progressive movements of the era.

Their label, Stereo Productions, became a central hub for this aesthetic, influencing a generation of DJs including Victor Calderone and Danny Tenaglia. Their sound identity is built on complex, syncopated percussion arrangements and warm, melodic sub-bass, often contrasting organic drum sounds with sharp, digital synth stabs. Critically, they are respected for maintaining a consistent 'groove-first' philosophy that bridged the gap between the dark progressive house of the late 90s and the more rhythmic, percussion-led tech-house of the 2010s.
