Formed in 1978 in Manhattan Beach, California, the Descendents are a foundational American hardcore punk band. Featuring drummer Bill Stevenson, the group evolved from their early surf punk roots to become influential figures in the Los Angeles hardcore scene. Throughout their career, they have released numerous studio albums, live records, and EPs. The band has recorded for labels including New Alliance Records, Fat Wreck Chords, and Epitaph Records.
