Embraze is a seminal figure in the Finnish gothic metal scene, emerging from Kiiminki in 1994. Originally named Embrace, the band changed their name to avoid conflict with a British group.
Their sound is characterized by a blend of traditional heavy metal, melodic death metal influences, and the atmospheric gloom typical of the late 90s Finnish 'Love Metal' explosion.
