Emerging from the Lille scene, his career was catalyzed by his association with David Duriez and eventually the legendary F Communications label, founded by Laurent Garnier.

Llorca's sound identity is defined by a sophisticated integration of black American musical traditions - funk, soul, and jazz - into a house music framework. His breakthrough album, 'New Comer' (2001), remains a benchmark of the genre, selling over 170,000 copies and bridging the gap between underground electronic production and mainstream jazz appreciation. Critically, he is praised for his meticulous production and his ability to direct live musicians within an electronic context. In the mid-2000s, Llorca pivoted toward more dancefloor-focused house under the alias Art Of Tones, further cementing his reputation as a versatile producer with a deep understanding of groove. His work is often compared to St. Germain, though Llorca often leans more heavily into soulful vocal structures and a slightly more polished, hi-fi aesthetic.
