Lust

Lust is a Canadian extreme metal project primarily associated with the 'war metal' or blackened death metal subgenre. Formed in 1993, the project initially operated as a trio before evolving into the solo vehicle for Sabazios Diabolus.

Based in the fertile Canadian underground scene that produced acts like Blasphemy and Conqueror, Lust shares their penchant for chaotic song structures, lo-fi production values, and a focus on themes of occultism and social transgression. The project's discography is marked by a series of splits and EPs culminating in the 2005 full-length 'Genesis of a Satanic Race'.
