Founded in 1997, the Swedish group Majestic emerged as a neo-classical power metal act. Initially known as Lab Rat, the band was established by Peter Espinoza and Richard Andersson. They released two albums through Massacre Records, Abstract Symphony and Trinity Overture, featuring vocalist Apollo Papathanasio. The band's signature sound evolved from rearranged solo material, blending keyboard-driven melodies with heavy instrumentation before Espinoza departed following the band's first full-length record.
