Marbert Rocel

Marbert Rocel is a German electronic trio consisting of producers Marcel Aue (DJ Malik) and Robert Krause alongside vocalist Antje Seifarth. Formed in 2004 in Erfurt and later based in Leipzig, the group emerged from a creative circle that included German pop star Clueso.

Their sound identity is defined by a sophisticated fusion of deep house, nu jazz, and downtempo, characterized by a 'warm and cozy' aesthetic that became a hallmark of the Compost Records roster. Unlike many of their contemporaries in the German techno scene, Marbert Rocel prioritizes song structure and emotional ephemerality over dancefloor endurance. Their career arc shows a consistent refinement of this 'organic electronic' sound, moving from the playful experimentation of 'Speed Emotions' to the more mature, cohesive textures of 'In the Beginning.'
