Massacration

Massacration is a Brazilian satirical heavy metal band that originated from the comedy troupe Hermes & Renato on MTV Brasil. While initially conceived as a sketch parodying metalhead stereotypes, the group's musical proficiency led to legitimate success within the metal scene.

Led by Bruno Sutter (Detonator) and the late Fausto Fanti (Blondie Hammett), the band's sound is a meticulously crafted homage to NWOBHM, glam metal, and power metal. Their technical execution is notable, having featured guest contributions from legitimate metal icons like Igor Cavalera and Ricardo Confessori. Culturally, they occupy a unique space in Brazil, bridging the gap between mainstream comedy and the underground metal community.
