Neikka RPM

Neikka RPM is a New York-based electronic duo formed in 2001 by Dominique and Richard. They emerged during the peak of the dark electro and EBM resurgence, quickly becoming a staple of the Alfa Matrix label.

Their sound identity is characterized by a deliberate contrast between aggressive, club-oriented industrial production and melodic, often ethereal female vocals. This duality allowed them to bridge the gap between the harsh textures of aggrotech and the accessible hooks of futurepop. Their 2004 debut, 'The Gemini Prophecies', is considered a cult classic within the industrial scene, largely driven by the international success of the single 'Here's Your Revolution'. Critically, they are noted for their high production values and ability to maintain a 'sexy' aesthetic within a typically abrasive genre. Their influence is felt in the way they integrated big beat energy (reminiscent of The Prodigy) into the EBM framework, helping to modernize the 'industrial-dance' sound for the mid-2000s club circuit.
