Never

Never (often stylized as NeVeR) is a Polish death metal outfit formed in 1997 by Sebastian Synowiec. Emerging from the fertile Polish extreme metal scene that birthed giants like Vader and Behemoth, Never carved out a niche by blending the technical rigor of the former with the melodic sensibilities of the Gothenburg sound.

Their debut album, 'Monument', recorded in 1999 at SELAN Studio, established their reputation for high-class melodic riffs and complex structures, earning praise from industry veterans like Leif Jensen of Century Media. The band's evolution saw them move from a death/thrash hybrid toward a more sophisticated progressive death metal style. Despite lineup changes and periods of inactivity, their catalog remains a benchmark for the 'Polish sound' - characterized by exceptional drumming, crisp production, and a focus on rhythmic precision. They are frequently associated with contemporaries like Sceptic and Masachist, forming part of a movement that prioritized musical proficiency and technical evolution within the extreme metal framework.
