Thumping 80s synth-pop with a cold, industrial edge. Deadpan vocals meet heavy analog grooves for a late-night, neon-soaked dancefloor experience.
OFF (Organisation For Fun) was a pivotal German electronic project active from 1986 to 1990. It served as the launchpad for Sven Väth, who would later become a titan of the techno world, and the production duo Michael Münzing and Luca Anzilotti, who later achieved global success as Snap!.
The project's sound identity is built on the intersection of synth-pop, EBM, and the burgeoning New Beat scene. Their breakthrough hit, Electrica Salsa, defined a specific moment in European club culture where the rigidity of industrial music met the accessibility of disco. F. and the functional dance music of the 1990s. The project's evolution saw them experiment with Acid House on La Casa Latina before dissolving as Väth moved toward a more purist underground techno vision. Their influence persists in the DNA of modern darkwave and electro-clash.
